About the Artist
Hello!
Hi, I’m Kai, the artist behind Kai Bee Studios, my creative hub where art becomes a tool for empowerment and transformation. My work focuses on uplifting queer and trans people of color by creating art that celebrates identity, self-expression, and community. Through illustrations, comics, murals, and paintings, I tell stories that center diverse voices and imagine a more inclusive world—stories I would have loved to see as a young artist growing up on Cape Cod.
My artistic journey is fueled by a commitment to storytelling and community-building. Through bold visuals and heartfelt narratives, I explore themes of identity, radical self-love, healing, and belonging. Whether it’s a mural in a public library, a portrait of a fellow QTPOC artist, or an empowering comic about found family, my work aims to inspire creativity and spark meaningful conversations.
In addition to my art practice, I offer mentorships, small business coaching for creative entrepreneurs, and art classes. As a co-founder of a local comix collective and a member of the Cordial Eye studio space, I thrive in collaborative environments where ideas can grow and evolve. I believe in the transformative power of community—learning from one another, sharing stories, and supporting each other’s journeys.
Kai Bee Studios is more than just an art brand; it’s a space for building connections, empowering underrepresented voices, and inspiring the next generation of artists. I’m here to help you see the world through a more inclusive, vibrant lens—whether you’re here to discover art, learn, or create alongside me.
Happy patrons :)

Hi :) I'm working on a little section to share specific categories of my work with clients that would not typically show up in my shop. If you'd like to take a peek, here is a recently published page of old comic work:
